Anupam Joshi – Sarod Virtuoso

From the moment he picked up the sarod, Anupam Joshi knew he'd discovered more than an instrument — he found a voice. He trained under stalwarts of the Maihar gharana like Pandit Rajiv Taranath and Pandit Tejendra Narayan Majumdar, and absorbed influences that shaped both his technique and aesthetics. 

Anupam’s playing is a blend of rigorous training and emotional depth. He weaves metre and melody with sensitivity — every alaap, every taan feels alive.
