Our intention at On That Note has always been to provide a platform for musicians to give them the opportunities they deserve. This is why we are very excited to present what we have lined up next, super exciting live (live-ly) music shows!

On That Note is going to feature artists/bands every month and hold two (or more) super exciting live shows where these extremely talented artists are going to perform their own original content, music worth listening to!

The first half of the program will feature Matt serenading the crowd in candlelight, playing Spanish guitar classics and brooding pieces for solo guitar. Then, Matt, Sam & Goutham will join forces to close out the show playing original music, intimately stripped down to cajon, guitar, and vocals. Bring your tissue box.

About the performers:

Matt Bacon

Originally from San Francisco, Matt Bacon is a Western Classical guitarist now based in Chennai, India. He plays nylon, bass, electric & 12-string guitars and serves as Head of the Guitar Department at AR Rahman’s KM Music Conservatory. Matt is endorsed by Gibson for electric guitars and Yamaha for acoustic. Matt has recorded for AR Rahman, Anirudh Ravichander & Anu Malik, among others. Accomplished as an independent songwriter, Matt’s debut EP “The Crossover” features a raw, stripped-down blend of folk rock, Western classical, and an insightful fusion of World sensibilities. As a classical guitarist, Matt has performed and recorded around the world and has been featured on radio and TV in India, London, San Francisco, and Thailand.

Goutham Healer

Goutham is self-taught Cine Musician, professional Drummer & percussionist. He has been doing live gigs for the past 9 years with experience & knowledge in Bollywood, Kollywood. He has been collaborating and working with some of the finest musicians across the country which created an impact and influence to experiment with contemporary Indian Music fusing Funk, Pop & Blues with different views and ideas. he has worked in feature films like “Jil-Jung-Juk, Rangoon, Simba, Sangili Bungili, 7-Naatkal, Kuttram-23, and so on..! He is also a part of The Guinness World Record in the name of “Sivamani & 1000 Drummers”.

BigSam

Samuel "BIGSAM" is a Chennai based Architect / Singer - Songwriter / Guitarist. His genre is the outcome of more than 2 genres, acoustic soul pop, folk and some blues. His music is basically about personal experiences, hoping someday it will be a story others can relate to eventually, so everyone can come to his gigs.
