About the play – Park

Written by acclaimed playwright Manav Kaul Park is a thought-provoking and symbolic Hindi drama set entirely on three benches in a public park.

The play explores the conflicts and conversations among three distinct characters — Uday a mentally unstable man; Madan a strict idealistic school teacher; and Nawab a man burdened by his past and personal tragedies. What begins as a trivial fight over a place to sit slowly unfolds into a deeper reflection on identity territory loneliness and the human condition.

With minimal set and maximum emotion Park becomes a metaphor for life — where everyone is looking for their own space their own peace and their own bench.

About the Director – Nirav Vegda

Nirav Vegda is an accomplished theatre practitioner actor director and founder of Karnavati Kala Kendra in Ahmedabad. With over 12 years of dedicated experience in Gujarati theatre and cinema he has directed and mentored numerous stage productions acting workshops and storytelling performances. Holding a Master of Performing Arts (Theatre & Acting) Nirav brings a deep understanding of performance character and emotion to his work. He is also a visiting faculty member at JG College of Performing Arts and has worked on several Gujarati films in creative and production roles. Known for his intense rehearsal process actor-focused direction and poetic stage aesthetics Nirav Vegda continues to shape new narratives that resonate with contemporary audiences.
