A great talent’s journey from being a disciple to a maestro is nothing shorter than the phenomenon of Metamorphosis—the profound transformation through years of rigorous training, unwavering faith, and the blessings of the Guru. It is a homage to the timeless relationship where music is not merely taught but lived, inherited, and passed on from one generation to the next.

In this special chapter of "The Baithaki Movement with Subhranil Sarkar", three of Pandit Shankar Ghosh’s foremost disciples and top maestros—Parimal Chakrabarty, Arup Chattopadhyay, and Subrata Bhattacharya, will be performing together for the first time on stage. They will offer tribute to their beloved Guru through immersive performances, heartfelt conversations and sharing of treasured memories. Hiranmoy Mitra will be giving them the Harmonium accompaniment.

The evening will be enriched by captivating performances where the tabla maestros will be accompanying sitarist Abhisek Mallick and vocalist Manali Bose creating a musical tapestry that echoes the Guru–Shishya tradition.

The late Pandit Shankar Ghosh remains an enduring legend—not only for his virtuosity on the tabla but also for the generations of musicians he nurtured through his exceptional pedagogy. His legacy lives on in every disciple whose art bears the imprint of his wisdom, discipline, and grace.
