Mohan Ka Masala brings to life the lesser-known journey of Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi — the young boy from Porbandar who grew up to become one of the most influential figures in history. This is not the story of the Mahatma we already know from textbooks. It is the story of the person behind the legend: his childhood, his insecurities, his mistakes, his ambitions, his struggles and the experiences that slowly shaped his extraordinary character.

Performed by acclaimed actor Pratik Gandhi, this powerful solo performance takes the audience through Mohan's journey from Porbandar to London and eventually South Africa, exploring the people, incidents and choices that became the “masalas” in the recipe that ultimately created the Mahatma. With Pratik Gandhi carrying the entire performance, the audience gets to experience Gandhi as a young, ordinary human being trying to understand himself and the world around him. Humour, emotion, history and introspection come together in this performance 

Directed by Manoj Shah and written by Ishan Doshi, the play uses a minimalistic stage to create an intimate and deeply engaging theatrical experience.
