Some songs never leave you. They wait quietly in the back of your memory until the first few notes play — and suddenly you're somewhere else entirely.
Join us at Silaa – The Garden Café for an evening devoted to the golden decades of Kannada music: the 70s, 80s and 90s. An era of unhurried melodies, poetry that meant something, and voices that a whole generation grew up on. This is a tribute to the legendary composers and singers who shaped that sound, performed live in an intimate garden-café setting.
What the evening looks like
One hour of live jamming, in two movements:
The Marathon — the first thirty minutes, back-to-back classics with barely a pause. Pure nostalgia, one song rolling into the next.
Requests & Fast Numbers — the second half opens up to the room. Call out the song you've been waiting to hear, then stay on your feet for the upbeat ones. This part belongs to the audience.
The setting
Silaa is built around warm wood, terracotta, hanging greenery and soft lamplight — a garden café that leans into calm. Low seating, an indoor water feature, and a wall of books. It's the kind of room that suits this music.
Food & drink
Your ticket covers entry only — food is entirely optional. For those who'd like to make a full evening of it, our pure-vegetarian à la carte menu is available through the show: coastal and Goan plates, continental favourites, fresh beverages and desserts. Ordered and billed separately at your table.
