Important review for families considering Kumar Resort — please read before booking. We stayed here for 2 nights as a family of 5 (3 adults + 2 kids including a toddler), and if you are expecting a smooth, family-friendly resort experience based on online reviews and photos, think twice. The experience started poorly with delayed check-in (almost 3 hours late )despite traveling with kids and a senior citizen. After a long drive, this immediately created frustration. We had booked a Family Suite and had discussed room expectations beforehand, but were given an old-wing room that felt very dated and disappointing. Yes, the room interiors, fittings and overall feel were nowhere near what we expected for the amount paid. The included breakfast was extremely ordinary and felt like a checkbox item rather than something adding value to the stay. The resort also seemed seriously understaffed, and service quality suffered badly because of it. Slow response, poor coordination and lack of professionalism became noticeable quickly. The biggest disappointment: the water park itself. Several slides were closed, and this was never communicated in advance. For a family resort, this matters because many families book specifically for these facilities. Even the water park staff felt unprofessional. Yes, my kids, spouse, mother and I still managed to enjoy some of the water activities that were open — but honestly, that was because we made the best of the situation, not because the resort delivered a great experience. Very disappointing experience at Kumar Resort. The room and bathroom cleanliness were not up to the mark, and several basic facilities required attention. Service was also slow, and the overall maintenance did not match the expectations for a resort of this price. The location and water park are good, but the poor cleanliness, maintenance and service made the overall experience frustrating. Definitely needs significant improvement.Read More

Worst Experience This was honestly one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had. My biggest mistake was booking this property in the first place. We initially booked Room 103, but the room was extremely unclean and poorly maintained. The refrigerator was not working, the AC was not working, and several things were simply not in proper condition. Even the upstairs bathroom door could not be properly closed. We requested a room change and were moved to Room 102, but unfortunately, the problems continued. The refrigerator had issues again, the upstairs AC was not working properly and was leaking water, and the room was not properly cleaned. The TV remote was also missing/not working. On top of all this, there was a continuous loud plastic-like noise coming from near the window throughout the night. We had come here to relax and rest, but instead, we were disturbed the entire night and could hardly sleep. We had to call repeatedly for every small issue, and even then, the staff did not provide timely service. The overall maintenance, cleanliness, noise, and service were extremely disappointing. For the price we paid, this was absolutely not worth it. My biggest mistake was choosing and booking this property. Definitely the worst experience and I would not recommend it to anyone.Read More

Our stay at Kumar Resort, Lonavala was truly wonderful. Excellent hospitality, courteous and humble staff, prompt service, delicious food, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere made our trip even more memorable. The entire team went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. It was a perfect blend of comfort, quality, and great value for money. Kumar Resort by Turtle in Lonavala is a fantastic family-friendly getaway! The water park is the highlight — thrilling slides, pools, and lots of fun for all ages. Rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable, with beautiful views of the hills. The food is delicious with good variety, and the staff is courteous and helpful.
