What would Montu say to Karl Marx?
KCC presents Montu O Marx, a Bengali production by Ichheymoto, written by Dhrubajyoti Chakraborty, featuring Saurav Palodhi.
Karl Marx finds himself in a Bengali neighbourhood, face to face with Montu, a working-class man who knows the realities of labour and inequality from everyday life. As the two begin to talk, Marx’s philosophy meets Montu’s experience, raising the question of what these ideas mean beyond the pages of a book, and who carries them forward.
