About

Big Throws. Bigger Stakes. Witness History in the Making.

Neeraj Chopra Classic is India’s premier international javelin competition, named after Olympic and World Champion Neeraj Chopra.

For the first time ever, India will host a world-class, standalone javelin event that is officially recognised as a Category A Gold Event by World Athletics. It is one of the biggest athletic competitions on Indian soil since the Asian Games and Commonwealth Games.

At the heart of the competition is the two-time Olympic medalist and World Champion, Neeraj Chopra, making his most significant competitive appearance in India to date.

He will be joined by a stellar lineup of international talent that includes three other Olympic medalists — Anderson Peters, Julius Yego and Thomas Rohler — making this one of the most elite javelin fields ever assembled in the country.

In addition to the on-field action, the evening will feature live performances by leading Indian artists, dedicated fan zones and exciting engagement activities throughout the evening.

Neeraj Chopra Classic 2025 is not just a competition. It’s a first-of-its-kind experience that puts Indian athletics on the global map and gives fans a chance to witness history in the making.
