This summer, jump into the world of improv with a range of classes from the Internationally renowned Jonah Fazel from London and a collection of fantastic improvisers from across India!

Introduction to Improv On A Tre'teu with Avinash Verma:
Limit the space, expand your Imagination!
Improv On A Tre'teu is a improvised format performed on a tiny stage, even when there are 5 performers on it! This workshop introduces you to the Live Action Set & Mumbai inspired Improv on A Tre'teu format and prepares you for the deep-dive into the format.
Ideal for theatre, circus, mime, movement artists, dancers, beginner improvisers and actors
Deep Dive & Showcase: Improv on a Tre'teu with Avinash Verma
Limit the space, expand your Imagination! - A deep dive into the Improv on a Tre'teu
This workshop will work on improving the perfumer's Dynamic movements, on stage object work, mime, space utility and focus. This advance workshop will end with a student showcase (2 tickets to the showcase are included in the price)

CONSENT F.R.I.E.S with Kaivalya Plays:
This workshop will introduce practices to facilitate a safe environment for performers to create and execute intimate scene work.
This includes scenes of a sexual nature or that deal with physical touching between performers

Application of safety practices in Competitive Improv with Kaivalya Plays:
This workshop will encourage you to take bigger risks, make braver choices, developing alongside a group with varied experience, prioritize the performance ahead of the performer, and make failure your partner, to play freely and fearlessly.

Sketch Writing & Comedic Improv with Nair & Nasir:
The aim of this workshop is to marry improv and sketch writing. This workshop also covers ‘comedy’ as a way of understanding its psychology and also using it as a tool to make scenes humorous
Ideal for writers, influencers, sketch artists, improvisers and comedians. Open to all.
Improv: Through the Lens of A Movie with Nasir:
In this long form improv workshop, we will learn the formula of storytelling from the perspective of a movie.
The aim is to select any one type of movie genre and work on it. Participants will learn tools such as Setting The World, Conflict, Protagonist trajectory, Climax, The Influence Of Movie scores and Movie Analysis & present an improvised movie at the end of the workshop
Ideal for intermediate & professional improvisers. Open to all.

Facilitator profiles:
Jonah Fazel: Jonah Fazel is a veteran Character Actor, Theatre-maker, Television presenter and one of the UK’s most prominent improvisers, with over 20 years of performing experience. He trained at the prestigious Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London, and in multiple improvisational schools including; The Second City, UCB and with the world renowned clowning expert Philippe Gaulier
As a facilitator, he specialises in character, narrative long-form, and acting skills. He is a lecturer of improvisation at The University of Creative Arts, The Bridge Theatre Training Company London, and teaches at many UK drama schools and improv companies including Europe’s largest, ‘Hoopla Impro’.
He is the creator over a dozen long-form improvisation genre shows, including ‘Upstairs Downton’ (An English Period Drama Satire), The Owls Are Not What They Seem (a Twin Peaks Parody) which have toured internationally and played extensively at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland, the world’s largest performing Arts festival. He can currently be seen on stage in the UK in ‘Bumper Blyton’ (Improvised Enid Blyton for Grown Ups), on screen in the BAFTA award-winning comedy series ‘History Bombs’ and on YouTube in ‘Improtoons’- an animated improv cartoon series.
Avinash Verma: Avinash Verma is an up and coming actor, performer and comedian who has been in the industry for 10+ years.
He has worked with some of the best brands in the business from Perk, Aditya Birla SLI, Monster.com, Mtv, ICICI, Coke, Amazon and many more. He has acted in ad films with stars like Akshay Kumar, Manoj Bajpayee, Arshad Warsi, Boman Irani, Perfomed with Ryan Stiles from whose line is it anyway and with AIB.
As an improvising comedian, actor and comedy consultant, Avinash has travelled the world and played improv festivals across the United States, performing at International Comedy festivals as well as in India.
Kaivalya Plays: Kaivalya Plays is a performing arts and production company led by Varoon P. Anand as its Artistic Director and Gaurav Singh Nijjer as General Manager. With its root in the cultural capital of India, New Delhi, the group has created innovative artistic experiences with a focus on community-building.
The team has worked with many diplomatic institutions like the Embassy of Spain and Instituto Cervantes, Embassy of Argentina, Embassy of Ecuador, Goethe-Institut / Max Mueller Bhawan in Delhi and Bangalore, among others, to produce cross-cultural theatre productions in English, Hindi, and Spanish which have been staged at festivals like Gender Bender, Old World Theatre Festival, Reconnect Theatre Festival, Short & Sweet Delhi, among others.
Their artistic training is grounded in spontaneous improvisation, lying at the intersection of short-form improvisations (for performances and workshop) and applied improvisation (with a focus on mental health, business, education, training)
Rohit Nair: An alumni of AIB's First Draft, Rohit Nair is a screenwriter and an improv artist. He co-founded Improv Comedy Bangalore and he has represented India at the Second City stage in Chicago, US.
Nasir Engineer: Nasir has been coaching, performing and building improv communities over the last decade in India. He co-founded Improv Comedy Bangalore and also founded and directed the Bengaluru Improv Festival. Currently Nasir works as a employee success specialist, is a pro graphic designer and a major fitness buff.

Every workshop would definitely mean a lot of investment of money and time and I want to not end up with the feeling that It got wasted and that will also impact my interest.
A. The best way to answer your question would be to ask yourself - "What would I like to gain from the improv workshops…?"
