A safe space to facilitate conversations on love, loss and death.
We will hold space for grief and our experience with it. Grief not in terms of death, but everyday lives - moving houses, losing our pets, losing friends, giving up old beliefs about ourselves, changing cities e.t.c
Small and cosy acoustic sets by Sourjyo and Aanchal.
There will be some time allotted to have healthy conversations on our experiences with grief.
Everybody is encouraged to bring their favourite comfort/coffee mugs. There will be time to mindfully reflect with refreshments.
The space is open to talk about our favourite songs, poems and works of art revolving around the themes of love, loss and death.
About the artists:
Sourjyo Sinha is a musician, songwriter and producer. Part of the bands Dindūn and Whale in the Pond, he dabbles in folk, alternative, electronic and dreampop and writes in Sylheti and English. In addition to his work as a musician, Sourjyo is also an active curator and event organiser in Kolkata, as part of Ponder Alt, encouraging original work in the arts in the city. Aanchal is a singer-songwriter from Assam, based in Bangalore. She is obsessed with Bob Dylan and has 17 cats back home. We want to support community-led initiatives to hold space for all things art related.
