About the Event

Palate by Design is a two-day Food × Design festival unveiling a rare chance to experience a once-in-a-lifetime collaboration between India’s seven most iconic interior designers and seven star chefs. Through this jugalbandi, seven ephemeral worlds are brought alive, with bold flavours, textures, storytelling, and visual theatre. Hosting an intimate table of 25 guests per meal, the event experience is exclusive and highly sought after.

Sarah Choudhary, Habitat Architects


Bringing a globally informed design sensibility to Habitat Architects, Sarah Choudhary shapes spaces that feel modern, intentional and quietly resonant. At Palate by Design, she extends this perspective — bridging materiality and experience in a way that feels both contemporary and deeply nuanced.


Ekaa, Chef Niyati Rao


Chef Niyati Rao follows curiosity over cuisines. Her restaurant Ekaa, celebrated for its ingredient-led philosophy and radical restraint, is shaped by people and cultures, one ingredient at a time. At Palate by Design, she brings the rare ability to make flavour feel intimate and intelligent.


Adil Ahmad X Tehzeeb


Adil Ahmad, The Palace Collection


Adil I Ahmad completed his first professionally commissioned design project at age 16. His inherent sensibility had turned to interior literature when he was five years old, and that early pull toward aesthetic stimulation has continued ever since. Adil’s raison d’e^tre is his unerring eye for symmetry and detail, as well as his unrelenting demand for perfection. At Palate by Design, Adil crafts maximalism with a sense of memory and design that fills the room with nothing but awe.


Tehzeeb, Chef Shankar Krishnamurthy


Chef-turned-entrepreneur and Director at fusion9, Shankar Krishnamurthy brings 25 years of global experience and a heart that cooks beyond the plate. He believes that food feeds hunger, but sharing feeds humanity. His movement to ease hunger through mindful sharing of surplus food reminds us that even a small act of kindness can leave a lasting impact. At Palate by Design, he brings this purpose to the table.


Farah Agarwal X Banng


Farah Agarwal, Chestnut Storeys


Farah Agarwal sees the beauty of creation as one with the space, allowing it to transform the idea and the design rather than the other way round. With the belief that ‘designs must grow organically and assume idiosyncratic identities,’ she experiments and plays with elements, colours, and textures in intuitive ways at Palate by Design.


Banng, Chef Manav Khanna


With years of culinary experience in Bangkok and a deep understanding of the nuances of Thai cuisine, Chef Manav Khanna translates the city’s rhythm and unapologetic flavour into every plate. His bold Thai flavours arrive with full personality to the Palate by Design.


Gowri Adappa X The Table


Gowri Adappa, A Design Co.


For Gowri Adappa, design starts at the level of detail by instinctively sourced objects, intentionally styled compositions, and spaces that speak softly yet linger long after. She works extensively with traditional and local materials and craft, reinterpreting them in a modern vocabulary that feels both rooted and current. Her practice spans homes, retail spaces, and hospitality projects, each marked by a thoughtful dialogue between heritage and contemporary design. She brings her keen eye for meaningful and beautifully crafted designs to Palate by Design.

Chef Louis Gomes built his culinary craft by living it. With two decades in the kitchen and pure grit and instinct, he brings quiet mastery to the Palate by Design that makes flavour feel inevitable.


Abin Chaudhuri X Izumi


Abin Chaudhuri, Abin Design Studio


Abin Chaudhuri believes that design is a continuing process of discovery. His eponymous studio explores the ‘unknown’ journey by experimenting with materials and technology and engaging art with culture, all while aiming to provide a ‘soul in the shell’. He extends that spirit at Palate by Design by crafting a space where emotion leads the way into a sublime experience.


Izumi, Chef Nooresha Kably


Shaped by years of learning and respect for Japanese cuisine, Chef Nooresha Kably brings in this quintessential style while pairing it with bold, fresh palates to every plate. Her restaurant chain Izumi focuses on a wholesome experience, bringing those learnings into an Indian context without diluting their authenticity and devotion to flavours that feel honest and alive.


Rajesh Pratap Singh X Indian Accent


Rajesh Pratap Singh, Pratap Home


Rajesh Pratap Singh designs at the intersection of restraint and rebellion. His work is Indian in soul, modern in language, and unmistakable in detail. He presents a timeless, fiercely original design voice at Palate by Design.


Indian Accent, Chef Rijul Gulati


Chef Rijul Gulati reshapes Indian cuisine with balance, boldness, and a devotion to flavour that feels familiar yet completely new. His every plate at Palate by Design is Indian contemporary, but the emotion is unmistakably home.


Apoorva Shroff X Praça Prazeres


Apoorva Shroff, Lyth Design


With a practice honed across continents and grounded in two decades of design intuition, Apoorva Shroff brings global clarity and Indian warmth to every space she creates. She envisions a bold, thoughtful perspective, shaped by experience and expressed with heart, at Palate by Design.

Chef Ralph Prazeres, Head Chef and owner of Praça Prazeres, focuses on classic flavours and high-quality ingredients to produce dishes that are elevated and refined. His intimate restaurant and cocktail bar features fuss-free European fare — classic dishes and flavours executed to perfection. At Palate by Design, he presents flavour as an autobiography and every dish as a postcard from across the world.
