"Paulus Schäfer Band brings forth a swinging form of jazz which finds it’s origin in the style of Django Reinhardt’s ‘Hot Club the France’; gipsy jazz combined with pop and funk elements.

An all round band representing the current gipsy jazz sound. The band has a catchy sound and an energetic vibe, with an outspoken personality.

The musicians are technical virtuoso’s and they produce a distinctive swing jazz sound, which is a typical trademark of the Dutch Gipsy Jazz style. The pace is usually set high, but this complements the musical arrangements.

The lead guitarist; Paulus Schäfer’s style defines itself as fresh and pure. He combines the styles of Stochelo Rosenberg and George Benson and he loses himself in the bebop sound and he eagerly explores new musical horizons."
