Welcome to Piece-off #12! Come solo, bring a partner or a team, and try your hand at speed puzzling - the top performers in each category go home with prizes!

🧩 Categories:

- Solo Blitz: upto 100 pieces, fastest 2 finishers win,

- Individuals (solo): upto 150 pieces, fastest 2 finishers win,

- Pairs (group of 2): 500 pieces, fastest 3 finishers win,

- Teams (group of 4): 1000 pieces, fastest 2 finishers win

You can register under multiple categories as they will take place at different times.

Solo Blitz and Individuals will have different competition puzzles.

For Pairs, only one person from each group needs to purchase a ticket for the Pair.

For Teams, each person in a team needs a ticket. All competition puzzles are by Jigsaw Nation!

🧩 Time And Schedule:

10.30 AM: Solo Blitz check-in and briefing.

10.45 AM - 11.15 AM: Solo Blitz round.

11.15 AM - Individuals check-in and briefing.

11.30 AM - 12.30 PM: Individuals round.

1.15 PM: Pairs check-in and briefing.

1.30 PM - 3.00 PM: Pairs round.

3.15 PM: Teams check-in and briefing.

3.30 PM - 6.30 PM: Teams round.

🧩 Rules:

- Solo Blitz gives participants 30 minutes to complete a puzzle of upto 100 pieces.

- Individuals will have 60 minutes (1 hour) to complete a puzzle of upto 150 pieces.

- Pairs will have 90 minutes (1.5 hours) to complete a 500 piece puzzle.

- Teams will have 180 minutes (3 hours) to complete a 1000 piece puzzle.

- Puzzles will come boxed, with an image for reference.

- Only letter openers, keys or other non-sharp objects may be used to open the plastic that covers the puzzle; sharp objects like scissors or box cutters are not permitted.

- If, once the time has run out, competitors have not finished the puzzle, we will count the number of placed pieces, adding only groups of 3 or more pieces correctly joined together. Competitors will be ranked by the number of pieces they have placed.

- If pieces are missing/misplaced at the end of the puzzle, 10 seconds for each such piece will be added to the final time. If there are 2 or more adjacent missing pieces, no penalty will be applied as it is considered a manufacturing error.

- Tickets include registration and the cost of the competition puzzle - competitors take their puzzle home!

- The fastest three Pairs, and fastest two Solo Bitz, Individuals and Teams, win prizes sponsored by Jigsaw Nation!

We are Bangalore’s jigsaw puzzle community and its first jigsaw puzzle meetup group, providing a space for puzzle enthusiasts to come together to solve jigsaws, swap and sell their puzzles, and compete in speed puzzling! We meet in-person every Monday and on the occasional weekend.
