Welcome to Piece-off #22! 

Come solo, bring a partner or join a team and try your hand at speed puzzling - the top performers in each category go home with a prize! 

🧩 CATEGORIES AND FORMAT: 

- Individuals (Solo): Classic Speed Puzzling (upto 500 pieces, 2 hours, 3 prizes to be won!) 

- Pairs (group of 2): Speed Puzzling Challenge (upto 500 pieces, 90 min, 3 prizes to be won!) 

- Teams (group of 4): Classic Speed Puzzling (upto 1000 pieces, 2 hours, top Team wins a prize) 

You can register under multiple categories as they will take place at different times. Pairs tickets are per Pair. Teams must buy all four tickets for the Team regardless of the number of final participants in the team. All tickets include the cost of registration and the competition puzzle to take home. 

🧩 TIME AND SCHEDULE: 11.00 AM - 5.30 PM, Sunday, 28th June. 

10.45 AM: Teams check-in and briefing.

11.00 AM - 1.00 PM: Teams round.

1.30 PM - Individuals check-in and briefing.

1.45 - 3.45 PM: Individuals round.

3.45 PM: Pairs check-in and briefing.

4.00- 5.30 PM: Pairs round.

🧩 RULES:

- Individuals have 2 hours to complete a puzzle of upto 500 pieces. Prizes will be awarded to the 2 fastest finishers and the next fastest finisher who has not achieved a podium finish in the Individuals category before. 

- Pairs have 90 min to complete a Puzzle Challenge (multiple puzzles in a set order) of upto 500 pieces. Prizes will be awarded to the 2 fastest finishers and to the next fastest Pair that has not achieved a podium finish in the Pairs category before.

- Teams have 2 hours min to complete a puzzle of upto 1000 pieces. The fastest Team wins a prize.

- Puzzles will come boxed. Only letter openers, keys or other non-sharp objects may be used to open the plastic that covers the puzzle or seals on the puzzle boxes; sharp objects like scissors or box cutters are not permitted.

- If, once the time has run out, competitors have not finished the puzzle, we will count the number of placed pieces, adding only groups of 2 or more pieces correctly joined together. Competitors will be ranked by the number of pieces they have placed.

- If pieces are missing/misplaced at the end of the puzzle, 5 seconds for each such piece will be added to the final time. If there are 2 or more adjacent missing pieces, no penalty will be applied as it is considered a manufacturing error.

- Tickets include registration and the cost of the competition puzzle - competitors take their puzzle home!

We are Bangalore’s first jigsaw puzzle meetup group, providing a space for puzzle enthusiasts to come together to solve jigsaws, swap and sell their puzzles, and compete in speed puzzling! We meet in-person every Monday and on the occasional weekend.
