Named after the Tibetan word for grandfather, Popo pays tribute to Chef Doma Wang’s father and the culinary traditions he passed down. Located in Kolkata, the restaurant explores the flavours of Tibet and the Himalayas through handcrafted momos, thukpa, tingmo, prawn toast and other regional favourites, combining comforting food with warm hospitality.

For Restaurant Week India, Popo's by Blue Poppy presents a 3-course menu rooted in Himalayan food traditions, reflecting its focus on authentic regional flavours and the culinary heritage behind its dishes. The second edition of Restaurant Week India expands from three cities to ten, with more than 100 restaurants participating from October 16 to November 1, 2026, alongside new dessert pop-ups and limited ‘One Service Only’ experiences.
