● Measurement in quantum mechanics


● (Practical: Simulating wave interference using Python)


3. Qubits and Quantum States (1 hour)


● What is a qubit? | Bloch Sphere representation


● Superposition and measurement


● Entanglement: How two qubits behave differently than classical bits


● (Practical: Visualising qubits and superposition using Qiskit’s Bloch Sphere & Statevector Simulator)


4. Quantum Gates and Circuits (1.5 hours)


● Basic gates: X, Y, Z, Hadamard, CNOT


● Circuit construction: Combining gates for quantum operations


● (Practical: Building simple circuits with Qiskit and running on local simulators) 


● (Practical: Demonstrating entanglement with Bell states in Qiskit)


5. Quantum Algorithms Overview (1.5 hours)


● Why quantum algorithms are different


● Deutsch-Jozsa Algorithm (Intuition + Demo)


● Grover’s Search Algorithm (Hands-on Implementation in Qiskit)

Day 2: Applications and Hands-On Labs (6 hours)


1. Quantum Computing Platforms & Hardware (30 min)


● Overview of IBM Q, Google Sycamore, D-Wave, etc.


● Noise and decoherence in real quantum hardware


2. Quantum Cryptography (1 hour)


● Importance of secure communication


● Quantum Key Distribution (BB84 protocol - Concept + Hands-on Qiskit Implementation)


3. Quantum Error Correction (1 hour)


● Why error correction is needed in quantum computing


● (Practical: Simulating quantum noise and error correction techniques in Qiskit)


4. Quantum Machine Learning (1.5 hours)


● What is Quantum Machine Learning (QML)?


● Applications in optimisation and AI


● (Practical: Implementing a basic quantum-enhanced ML model in Qiskit)


5. Quantum Simulation: Real-World Applications (1.5 hours)


● How quantum computing helps simulate molecules and materials


● (Practical: Simulating the hydrogen molecule (H2) using Qiskit for energy level calculations)
