Located around 50 km from Bangalore on the Bangalore-Mysore Road, Ramanagara is a popular trekking and adventure destination. The Ramanagara Hills, also known as the Sholay Hills, offer scenic landscapes and opportunities for trekking and adventure activities.

The region consists of mountain formations including Ramagiri, SRS Betta, Kakasura Betta, and Kapotagiri, making it a popular destination for climbing and outdoor adventures. The hills also served as the backdrop for the iconic Bollywood film Sholay.
