Pune became an imperial royal city since Chhattrapati Shivaji Maharaj made Laal Mahal his residence and then later when Peshwa Bajirao chose Pune as his official residence and built the Shaniwar Wada as his royal palace & it became the seat of power of the Maratha Empire.

With the rise of the imperial power in the city all the prominent Generals & Administrators of the Peshwa court built their residence around the Shaniwar Wada. We will exploring these Wadas and relive its once glorious royal past with an enriching & immersive personal experience walking through the by-lanes of history.

We will explore:

· Dixit Wada

· Majumdar Wada

· Laal Mahal

· Nana Wada

· Vishrambaug Wada

Pune Heritage Walks is a cultural community to promote our rich heritage, history, culture, architecture, food, arts & crafts. The walks are curated & organized by our Founder & Walk Leader Randhir Jaya Naidu.
