Hello Walkers

We have been waiting for a long time for this walk. We are here for it. We are conducting a heritage walk in Chandni Chowk on Sunday 29th January morning. What we know today as Chandni Chowk was once a part of one of the greatest cities in the world "Shahjahanabad". Today Shahjahanabad has been subsumed under the gigantic sprawl of metropolitan Delhi. Yet it has a distinct identity. Chandni Chowk conjures up romantic narrow streets a variety of street food and exotic markets. We will discuss each monument in detail. Starting with Digambar Jain Lal and then Gauri Shankar Mandir Gurudwara Seesganj Sahib and then followed by "Subah Ki Kadak Kullad Wali Chai with Bun Maska". Then we will explore Allahabad Bank Markets of Chandni Chowk Central Baptism Church Ghantaghar Paranthe Wali Gali Shahi Sunehri Masjid and Fatehpuri Masjid. We will end with Mouth Watering Breakfast near Fatehpuri Masjid.

Essentials

• As we will be visiting Holy Shrines please wear comfortable shoes (easy to remove). Also bring a cloth to cover your head and dress appropriately.
• Keep your tummy empty to enjoy a tasty and authentic Breakfast.
• To avoid plastic use please carry water bottles with you.

Best way to reach

Please arrive at the meeting point by 8:45 AM. The nearest metro station is Lal Quila (Violet Line). Exit from Gate number 1. Public buses and cabs are also an option. Parking spaces are available for vehicles at Jama Masjid Parking.
