This is an evening that celebrates work in progress. It is intended to be a space where artists and non-artists alike can share unfinished ideas, first attempts, or deeply personal expressions - not polished performances, but honest experiments.

The opener for the Friends of Oddbird Festival 2025, it reflects what Oddbird stands for: making space for imagination and courage, without the pressure to be perfect. It’s a chance to share work that's usually kept in the background, and to listen to it with openness.

The very first edition is hosted by Avatari Devi and features a dramatised reading of Whale Poop & Other Distractions by Sakina - an emotionally open reflection on memory, estrangement, and the uneasy process of healing. Please note this show contains sensitive themes.

The Friends of Oddbird Festival 2025 is a 4-day festival of theatre, music, dance, and film. Hosted at Oddbird Theatre - an independent space for performance and experimentation in Delhi - the festival brings together artists and audiences to share new ways of seeing and listening.
