Set in Mumbai in the months leading up to the demolition of the Babri Masjid, the film follows a teenage girl whose close bond with her grandfather offers warmth and curiosity amid rising communal tension. As the outside world grows increasingly divided, their intimate conversations become reflections on the loss of an idea of India that, perhaps, no longer exists.
