PSBT Doc_Commune Short Films
This screening brings together four distinctive short documentaries that trace lives lived at the edges of visibility — across celebrity culture, silence, language, memory, and alternative cinematic spaces. From Mumbai’s relentless paparazzi circuits to a deaf-mute Himalayan village, from a Bundelkhandi rapper forging a voice to abandoned homes in Assam, these films observe resilience, labour, and belonging with intimacy and urgency. Hailing from PSBT’s Doc_Commune, a mentoring initiative for non-fiction filmmakers under 35, the package reflects a sustained commitment to nurturing young voices and building a lasting documentary community in India.
