Our meetings consist of a screening of an arthouse film, followed by a discussion. The discussion is led by one of our members or sometimes a guest speaker and encourages members to share their thoughts and interpretations of the film.

Curator's Note:

We close the curation with "New Cinema?" We have "Still Life" by Sohrab Shahid-Saless. This follows the life of Mohamad Sardari's long life of loneliness as a crossing guard. 

Who are The Parallel Cinema Club?

We are a community-run film society based out of Bengaluru and Hyderabad. We are a group of film enthusiasts who meet up to discuss the real world, auteurs, and themes, and occasionally host guest lectures.
