Shubha Mudgal is one of India's foremost classical vocalists, trained by legendary musicians including Pandit Ramashreya Jha "Ramrang," Pandit Kumar Gandharva, and Smt. Naina Devi. A celebrated performer, composer, and author, she has received the Padma Shri(2000), the Yash Bharati Samman, and the Rajiv Gandhi National Sadbhavana Award, and has held visiting professorships at institutions such as Ashoka University and was also Saluja Global Fellow (2025) at the Centre for the Advanced Study of India at the University of Pennsylvania. With a diverse discography of over 30 albums, including Ab Ke Saawan, Ali More Angana, Mann ke Manjeere, and Classically Yours, she continues to interact with contemporary Indian music while remaining deeply rooted in tradition. A dedicated advocate for artistes' rights, she continues to tour, teach, and write extensively on Indian music.
