Shyam Benegal’s films have pushed audiences to leave the theatre with haunting questions, while also unravelling social complexities, exploring truth without judgement and having audiences engage with characters that are full-blooded and pulsating, in lived moments.  

His work has been unprecedented for Indian cinema, breaking archetypes of romance, drama, and comedy. Forcing audiences/cinema to rise above, G5A warehouse brings back the experience of collective film viewing with Shyam Benegal’s exemplary work.
