⭐ Very disappointing experience – ₹900 for a cable car ride with almost no worthwhile destination I visited Sky Storm at Silver Storm, Athirappilly, mainly because of the way this new cable car attraction is advertised. The promotional description gives the impression of an extraordinary aerial journey through the Athirappilly forests, with beautiful Western Ghats scenery and a unique destination at the other end. Silver Storm itself advertises the cable car as being more than 1.2 km long and highlights the forest, mountains and Chalakudy River views. Unfortunately, my actual experience was completely different. The cable car ride itself is basically a ride up from the park and back down to another area, and the main view we got was essentially an aerial view of the Silver Storm amusement park. There was nothing particularly breathtaking or unique about the destination compared with what is suggested in the advertising. We were also told that we would reach a forest/village-type area where visitors could explore for around 1½ hours. In reality, the destination felt more like an extension of the amusement park with a small animal/bird enclosure. There were various caged birds and animals, including reptiles, etc. It did not feel like the natural forest experience that we were expecting from the way the attraction was presented to us. The biggest issue is the ₹900 per person price. For that amount, I expected a genuinely memorable cable-car journey, spectacular natural scenery and a worthwhile destination. Instead, the actual experience felt extremely limited for the price. For comparison, I have previously experienced the cable car at Jatayu Earth's Center, and that felt much more like a proper tourist attraction: the cable car itself is integrated with the hill, the natural terrain and the Jatayu destination. The overall experience felt like you were actually travelling somewhere worth visiting, rather than simply taking a short ride from one part of an amusement park to another. I have no problem with Silver Storm charging ₹900 if they provide an experience that genuinely justifies ₹900. My problem is the huge gap between what I expected based on the descriptions/promotional claims and what I actually experienced. If you are considering paying ₹900 specifically for the Sky Storm cable car, please manage your expectations and understand what you are actually getting before purchasing the ticket. Don't expect a long forest exploration experience or a spectacular natural destination simply based on the promotional description. ₹900 per person is a significant amount for what, in my personal experience, was essentially a cable-car ride with a view of the amusement park followed by an artificial animal/bird enclosure. I am posting this review so that other visitors can make an informed decision before spending their money. The experience may be enjoyable for some people, but personally, I found it grossly overpriced and very disappointing compared with what was advertised and what I expected.Read More

Had a great time at Silver Storm Amusement Park. The park is clean, well maintained, and definitely value for money for a fun family or friends outing. The water rides are enjoyable, and the overall atmosphere is lively and refreshing. The only downside is that the number of rides feels limited compared to bigger amusement parks, especially the wave pool which is quite narrow and small. Still, it’s a good one-day getaway if you’re looking for a budget-friendly and enjoyable experience.Read More

We visited Silver Storm Water Theme Park yesterday (30/06/2026) with good expectations, but the overall experience turned out to be quite mixed. On the positive side, the water rides were decent and provided a fair amount of enjoyment. The food serving system was also well managed, with smooth service and minimal waiting time, which is commendable for a theme park setting. However, several issues significantly affected our visit. There were frequent power failures throughout the day, which disrupted the overall experience and caused inconvenience. The number of dry rides was very limited, and the available ones lacked excitement and adventure, especially for those looking for more thrilling activities. A major disappointment was that many rides were under maintenance, reducing the options available for visitors. In particular, the 3D show—one of the attractions we were looking forward to—was not operational. Considering these drawbacks, especially the limited ride availability and repeated interruptions, the ticket price felt quite high and not justified for the experience offered. Overall, Silver Storm has potential, but better maintenance, improved ride availability, and reliable power management are necessary to justify its pricing and enhance visitor satisfaction.Read More

"It fell short of my expectations, but it’s an okay spot for a casual day out with kids. Don't expect big thrills—the rides and water attractions are quite basic. However, the Snow Storm experience was great, though the entry fee feels a bit steep. A major downside is that most of the staff don't speak Malayalam, English, or Hindi, making communication difficult, but the Operation team is professional and cooperative. If you've already been to major amusement parks, you might be disappointed, but first-timers can still enjoy it."Read More

Personally compared to dreamworld water theme park in athirapilly this is very basic one. Even there is no swimming pool for adults. They have a small pool for kids and water is less than knee length. Hardly 1.5 feet deep. In dream world there is a swimming pool for family, there is another pool for ladies and kids. Even number of rides and ride quality is better in dreamworld. You have a wavepool over here which can be used as swimming pool, but again men separate and ladies separate. So if you are with family you will be disappointed. We were coming from thrissur. For us dreamworld comes first. For simverstorm we have to travel 10km more. We thought thr rates are higher in silver storm, quality would be better but it was just opposite. Overall speaking we were kind of disappointed. Recommended but dreamworld is 10times better and cheaper than this.Read More
