Skandagiri, also historically known as Kalwarbetta or Kalavara Durga, is a mountain fortress located around 70 km from Bangalore. This tiring yet rewarding Skandagiri day trek takes you on a spectacular journey amidst the wilderness. Starting at 11 pm from Bangalore, reach the base point by midnight, and hereby begins the night trek.

Trek Distance: ~8 km (both ways)

Trek Difficulty: Moderate

Altitude: 1,450 meters

Starting Point: Papagni Mutt, Near Chikkaballapur

Trek Duration: 4-5 hours (including ascent & descent)

Trail Type: Forest Trails, Steep Inclines & Boulder Sections, Open Grasslands, Steep Inclines & Boulder Sections

Choose a Friday date for Saturday Sunrise. And choose a Saturday date for Sunday Sunrise.

Once your booking is confirmed, we will add you to a WhatsApp group on the departure date around 6 PM, where we will share all necessary updates and information related to the trek.

ITINERARY:

Day 0:

 Night Departure from Bangalore

◆11:00 PM – RR Nagar Gopalan Arcade, Mysore Road

◆11:30 PM – Banashankari TTMC Bus Stop

◆11:50 PM – Udupi Garden Bus Stop, Near A2B, Petrol Bank BTM

◆12:15 AM – Silk Board Bus Stand (towards Marathali Road

◆12:40 AM – Bellandur Near Central Mall

◆01:00 AM – Marathahalli Opposite to Kalamandir

◆01:20 AM – Tin Factory HP Petrol Bank

◆01:40 AM – Hebbal Opp Esteem Mall

For a group of 10-11, a 12-passenger Tempo Traveller will be arranged.

For a group of 20, a 22-seat minibus will be designated.

For a group of 30, a 30-passenger bus will be provided.

For a Group of more than 35 people, a 50-seater bus will be provided.

The pickup location remains the same; only the timings will vary, and updates will be shared in the WhatsApp group.

Day 1:

◆2:00 AM – Midnight Tea Break at a local café

◆3:30 AM – Arrive at Skandagiri Base, relax and gear up

◆4:30 AM – Trek briefing & warm-up session 

◆5:00 AM – Start the adventurous night trek under a starlit sky

◆6:30 AM – Reach Skandagiri Peak, witness a breathtaking sunrise & cloud beds!

◆7:30 AM – Explore fort ruins, capture Insta-worthy moments, and enjoy the peaceful vibe.

◆8:00 AM – Start descending back to the base

◆9:30 AM – Reach the base, freshen up & relax

◆10:00 AM – Hearty Breakfast

◆11:30 AM – Depart to Bangalore

◆01:00 PM – Drop-off is the same as the pick-up location

THINGS TO CARRY

Strong backpack for trekking

Water bottles are at least 1-2 litres

An extra set of clothes (if necessary)

A Poly Bag to carry your wet clothes back to Bangalore

Sunscreen and sunglasses (optional)

Cap/hat

A raincoat or a poncho

Personal medication, if any

A torch with new batteries (can be managed by a mobile light)

Sweaters/jackets to bear the cold weather

Good trekking shoes (Mandatory)

Cancellation Policy:

0-15 Days Before the Start Date: No refund will be provided, and 100% of the tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.

15-30 Days Before the Start Date: 50% of the tour cost will be charged as a cancellation.

Once your refund is initiated, it will be credited to your account within 5-7 working days.

If trips or activities get cancelled due to weather or government restrictions, we will try our best to offer an alternative. However, no refund will be provided in such cases.
