Sofia began her musical journey with the bisel flute, choirs, and a deep appreciation for German and Brazilian records. She began studying classical guitar in 1995 and performed at major venues alongside her teacher, Walter Lopes. During high school, she formed a band, composing and performing original songs. Later, she studied voice with Maria do Rosário Coelho, sang pop in Lisbon, and explored jazz in Milan under the guidance of Laura Fedele.

Since returning to Lisbon in 2009, Sofia has focused on jazz and bossa nova, collaborating with renowned Portuguese musicians and refining her improvisational skills with Maria João Grancha. She now performs regularly at venues such as Casino do Estoril, Duetos da Sé, and Pestana Palace, as well as at private events.
