Meet the Artists
Akshath: Akshath Acharya is a 22 year old wonderboy, based in Mumbai who broke into the indie pop space, racking up listens on Spotify. Akshath channels his inner songwriter and producer in his tracks and live set. Akshath is having a break-through year and is all set to release more of his original music this year. His track Noor was featured on Spotify’s RADAR program in January. Akshath believes that there’s a space missing in the Indian Indie-pop space that he could fulfill with heartfelt songwriting and cutting-edge music production.
Kasyap: Kasyap is a Hyderabad based composer, singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. At only 22, he has worked on background scores and tracks for many blockbuster Indian films like Saaho, Asuran and Anthariksham. Kasyap’s latest release Tere Bina got him featured as the Spotify India RADAR artist for February 2023.
Kamakshi Khanna: Spotify RADAR artist for March 2023, Kamakshi Khanna is a Mumbai -based singer/songwriter whose music draws inspiration from diverse influences ranging from RnB and Soul to Pop and Indie Folk. Her journey is one of conscious reinvention as she continues to embrace new styles, and experiment with her sonic identity. An overthinker and daydreamer, most of Kamakshi’s ideas come from sudden spurts of introspection inspired by her lived experiences and her tendency to attach emotional depth to the mundane. For a lot of her listeners, her music embodies strength in vulnerability and her songs are earworms for solitude and reflection. Having established herself in the Indie music scene with numerous live performances across the country and collaborations, in 2020 Kamakshi released her first Hindi single, ‘Qareeb’, a song about a girl who grows and learns to love herself. Qareeb received widespread critical acclaim, winning Rolling Stone India’s ‘Song Of The Year’ award in the second edition of ‘The Indies’.
Saahel: Saahel is a 20-year-old prodigious singer-songwriter from Mumbai who is known to have found a unique spot in the Indian Pop music circuit. In a short span of just two years, the multi-faceted artist has managed to create an eclectic mix of music with his original compositions, captivating covers, viral mashups, and reimagined versions of international hits in Hindi. His debut single ‘Zariya’ which released in 2022 was well-received by the audience, garnering more than 500K streams on Spotify.
