A family workshop exploring observation, abstraction, and the patterns that shape the natural world.
Discover the patterns and structures hidden within nature by transforming familiar forms into abstract compositions. Drawing inspiration from the works of Nasreen Mohamedi and Bice Lazzari, the workshop explores how artists use line, repetition, and form to move from observation towards abstraction.
Using layers of butter paper, participants trace, simplify, and reinterpret shapes found in nature, gradually moving from realistic observation towards abstract compositions. Through layering, repetition, and simplification, they explore how familiar subjects take on new forms and visual rhythms.
Through hands-on making, the workshop encourages families to observe closely, experiment with materials, and discover new ways of seeing the natural world.
