Tarq’s unique blend of Blues, Soul and hard-hitting slide guitar interlaced with his powerful yet gentle dynamic ability shows an understanding and skill far beyond his years. This has attracted the attention of Nick Mason (Pink Floyd) who recorded Tarq’s debut single, remaining a big avid supporter of his music.

Last year Tarq had the rare opportunity to be personally invited by Tony Visconti (David Bowie's Producer), to play alongside Nitin Sawhney & Stewart Copeland of The Police, in a 6 piece documentary which led to Tarq flying to L.A to work with veteran producer Larry Klein.

Whilst Tarq draws inspiration from the likes of Debussy, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and Chet Baker, his sound has been compared more accurately to artists such as Jeff Buckley and Howlin’ Wolf.

Playing with his live band Tarq’s sound invites the audience on a magnetic journey infused with energy and soul, leaving a unique memory that will evolve every time you see him.
