Taste nahi aa raha hai" is a Hindi immersive performance exploring how our senses of taste, smell, sight, touch, and hearing are becoming numb in today’s world of constant media consumption.

We use FOOD as the central metaphor: What if one day, a person suddenly stops tasting food?

What begins as a personal crisis gradually reveals a universal condition of our collective desensitisation, our slow detachment from feeling, individuality and presence. Through the character of Sandesh, a performer who slowly loses one sense after another, the audience is invited to eat, witness and feel this transformation.

As his sensory world fades, the audience is confronted with their own. It's fun, interactive & food for the stomach & thought pulse of an evening. 

About the Artist

Sandesh is a theatre-maker and performer from Pune. He's a Drama School Mumbai graduate rooted in Lecoq-based physical theatre. His work explores the relationship between body, space, audience, and sensation.
