About the venue

A live music concert exploring our interconnectedness with nature through the poetry of mystic poets Kabir, Meera, and others.

In dialogue with KNMA’s ongoing exhibition Inheritors of Earth, Vipul Rikhi presents The Forest of the Self, a musical exploration of our entanglements with the natural world and the oneness of all life. Drawing on the poetry of mystic poets such as Kabir, Meera, and Dharamdas, alongside a song by poet and writer Dhruv Bhatt, the concert explores how the self, nature, and the world around us are deeply connected.

Through songs that evoke forests, trees, birds, rivers, and the elements, the performance reflects on love, surrender, and the many forms of life that share our world. From a bird’s devotion to a tree threatened by fire to the idea of the entire universe residing within the self, the songs invite us to reconsider our relationship with nature and the connections that bind us to it.

While you’re here, explore KNMA’s ongoing exhibitions Inheritors of Earth and In-Rhythm.

FREE WOMAN OWNED AND RUN PLACE. HELL YEAH I LOVED EVERY OF BIT OF IT. I visited the Kiran Nadar Museum for the first time, and honestly, I wasn’t expecting to love it as much as I did. It was my first-ever visit to an art gallery, and I walked out completely in awe. Ever since then, I’ve become a bit of an art gallery junkie. The best part? Entry is completely free. All you gotta do is sign your name when you walk in, and that’s it. There was barely any crowd, which made the whole experience feel so calm and peaceful. The staff were also incredibly kind and welcoming. When I visited, there was an exhibition featuring Tyeb Mehta’s work. His work makes you stop, look, and reflect on the world around you instead of just walking past them. I found myself spending much longer with each piece than I expected. Another bonus is that the museum is inside DLF Mall, so once you’re done exploring the galleries, you can grab a bite, shop, or just walk around. It makes for such a nice day out. Overall, I’d give it a solid 10/10. Whether you’re into art or have never stepped inside a gallery before, I’d absolutely recommend visiting. It’s peaceful, inspiring, and surprisingly memorable.Read More

The Kiran Nadar Museum of Art is a truly remarkable gallery that celebrates creativity and cultural expression. It offers a vibrant and enriching environment that not only showcases outstanding works of modern and contemporary Indian art but also actively nurtures young minds. One of the most commendable aspects of the museum is its dedication to introducing children to the world of art and craft through thoughtfully designed workshops.Read More

Went there for a Book reading. Was pleasantly surprised with how safe I felt here. The venue is in a safe space with no fear of Fire, or parking issues. Venues like these in Delhi are rare. Worth going or organising events here. Parking is 30 rupees upto 3 hours for bikes, which is reasonable. URead More

GREAT WORK!! a lot of the collection was dedicated to comics and being someone who loved comics as a child , it took me back to my childhood. A lot of political issues covered and recognised through art as well, a whole section dedicated to feminism and a lot of unique artwork! My personal favorites were Balaji Ponna's art and the photography×fabric art section. I'd love to visit again sometime for sure You can read a lot about the topics covered in the exhibition too. I recommend coming here with at least 2 hours in hand if you wish to enjoy interacting and connecting well with the art.Read More
