About the Event

Experience the epic tale of the Mahabharata like never before with "The Mahabharata Project", an innovative theatre production by The Actors Collective. Join us at Shoonya Centre for Art and Somatic Practices on 21 and 22 January, with shows at 5:00 pm and 7:30 pm.

Directed by Rajesh P.I, this production is an imaginative exploration of the inner thoughts and motivations of key characters in the Mahabharata. Based on the principles of Stanford Professor Shirzad Chamine's "Positive Intelligence", the play delves into the power of inner voices and how they can shape the course of our lives.

This fresh interpretation of the classic tale combines elements of storytelling, body theatre, Kalaripayattu, dance, song, music, movement, and poetry in multiple languages. The team has also collaborated with Ambareesh of VKM Kalari to incorporate elements of traditional Indian martial arts into the production.

The cast features an impressive lineup of talented actors, including Baiju Gopal, Sunil Vijendra, Anshul Jhambani, Deepika Murthy, Siddhant Dhimaan, Kiran Johar, Vibha Kamath, Nisha Bhimaiah, Rachana Nagranee, Remo, Mahesh Calavai, Jatin Vakharia, Iyaan Pete Thomas, and Pragya Dudheria.

Don't miss this unique opportunity to see the Mahabharata in a whole new light. We hope to see you there!
