Join us for The Pop-Up Choir, where voices of every kind (and key!) come together for one musical morning. There are no auditions, no judges, and most importantly, no pressure!

We'll kick things off with some fun introductions and vocal warm-ups with our conductor, Anusha! Expect goofy sounds, laughter, and even notes you probably didn't know you could hit. Then comes the real magic. We'll learn to sing together—in harmony, in rhythm, and as a big, happy family choir!

As for what we're singing? Pitch, please! That's something you're just going to have to show up to find out. 

So, come as you sound, and we promise you'll leave with a smile on your face, a song in your heart, and probably a tune stuck in your head all week!

A Note from your Choir Conductor

Hi! I'm Anusha, a Mumbai-based composer, vocalist, guitarist, and choir conductor who engages in multidisciplinary practices. As a musician, I am deeply influenced by the styles of soul, jazz, R&B, Latin, and choral/a cappella music. I love to explore the boundaries of the voice, and my compositions often feature intricate vocal arrangements and vocally driven melodies. The written word is also central to my work, and I place a lot of emphasis on the interplay of poetry and harmony. I am currently working on songwriting and releasing originals with my band, Second Sight.

As an arranger and choir conductor, I led my university choir and now lead my own a cappella group, Fourth Seat Collective. I conduct the senior and youth choirs at the Mehli Mehta Music Foundation and have conducted for the Bandra Zonals. I also practice as a composer and performer in the immersive theater world, being a part of the experimental theatrical-musical pieces Lullaby, Stranger, and Unshared Childhoods.
