ABOUT THE POET: Padmini

At 60, Padmini finds herself at life’s meridian—a moment of pause, reflection, and quiet reckoning. After years shaped by relationships, responsibilities, and the ebb and flow of roles she once defined herself by, she now steps into a space that is entirely her own.

This turn inward wasn’t planned but deeply needed. Writing became her way of looking back—not with regret, but with curiosity and care. As the noise of earlier years softened, what remained were the voices of memory, longing, and resilience.

Padmini writes to understand herself better, to honour the journey she’s taken, and to give shape to the emotions that often went unnamed. Her reflections come not from a place of finality, but from a desire to keep growing—even at the crossroads.
