Do you have an interest in space, rockets, astronauts and space missions?
This new series of online workshops aim to give a comprehensive understanding of some of the famous space missions and the technologies involved. This particular session will cover the extraordinary story of how a disaster occurred on board the Apollo 13’s spacecraft and how the brave astronauts, against all odds, devised a plan and returned home safely.
Workshop Objective:
- Learn about the dangers of space travel
- Understand the difficulty of planning a space mission
- Get inspired by the bravery and ingenuity of astronauts
Workshop Agenda:
- 30 mins - Dangers of Space Travel
- 30 mins - Planning a Space Mission
- 45 mins - How to rescue yourself when stranded halfway to the moon
- 15 mins - Conclusion

How the webinar works:
- The registered number will be added to a temporary WhatsApp group where further instructions will be shared.
- The online session will take place over Zoom Meetings.
- A computer with headphones and a reliable internet connection is necessary.
- The facilitator will share their computer screen where the content will be displayed (Powerpoint presentation, worksheets, software UI, videos, simulations, virtual tour etc.).
- The facilitator will also be giving live audio commentary and explanations.
- The participants can interact with the facilitator using the chat feature.
- The participants will have their audio muted and their webcam stopped to ensure a smooth streaming experience for all.
- One ticket permits one device (computer/tablet) to join the Zoom Meeting
- The live stream of the online session is only for personal use, and thus shouldn't be recorded or transmitted or projected to an audience unauthorised by the organizer
- You may experience network latency during the session considering the high internet usage because of lockdown.
