About the Event

History has feelings, too. In the artefacts of the museum, there is an archaeology of emotions that we often miss.

This museum walk with itihāsology's Eric Chopra blurs the lines between history, art, and the emotions objects carry. From lovers imagined as gods to artists lost to footnotes, from subtle movement in sculptures to the gazes in Gupta and Gandhara faces, this immersive experience takes you through Indian art across centuries to explore how stone and pigment preserve an archive of feelings.

Rasa, shringara, age, power, longing, desire, satire, gender and identity, this walk sheds light on overlooked details that challenge how we see form and time itself.

Every attendee will receive an exclusive Itihāsology postcard — a little piece of history to take home!

Join us to look again, feel deeply, and see differently.
