About the Event

ABOUT THE FILMS

Small-time Cinema // Short Documentary // 29 mins

Director: Priya Naresh

Small-Time Cinema is a documentary that follows two Youtube filmmaking groups,

one living in Balochistan, Pakistan, and one, in Assam, India. The film follows these groups,

as they make space for their complex history and cultures, beyond a blanket Indian or Pakistani identity.

Viral // Short Fiction // 23 mins

Directors: Shreyas Dasharathe, Jamshed Irani

Shiny and Bandu are avid fans of Hammad, an egg-seller from Karachi who has found a huge online following in their city of Mumbai but is virtually unknown in his own vicinity. They connect online and what follows is a heartfelt journey to a promising friendship that exists in the borderless realm of the online world. Shot on location in India and Pakistan with 2 crews in their respective countries, this project is a unique collaborative effort to create riveting stories about their societies.
