In India, folk music reflects the land’s rich heritage and culturally diversity. And there is a need-gap. The folk artists need opportunity, beyond their small geographical circles and music enthusiasts are hungry for new sounds, and eager to rediscover their Indian roots and so Folk Stories was born.

It’s the festival where stories are narrated in the colours of folk music and musical boundaries are pushed to create scintillating performances. It’s an experience of a lifetime for both the audience and the artist as well. It’s an evening of sheer entertainment with a bit of education of our great musical traditions thrown in. After successful debut edition with Rajasthani Folk artist Mame Khan, we are back with Folk Stories – Contemporary Folk Fusion Music featuring Raghu Dixit Project. Often hailed as India’s biggest cultural & musical export, Raghu Dixit’s unique brand of infectious, happy music transcends age, genre, and even language. His music is strongly rooted in Indian traditions and culture and is presented with a very contemporary, global sound.
