Forethought India has hosted an online talk session in Culinary Arts in India. World Renowned Chef working at Gates Hospitality have shared their knowledge in this session.

With an international career spanning over 15 years in the Culinary and Michelin Star restaurant industry, the Head Chef F&B at Meraas Group brings a wealth of experience. His journey in the culinary world began at the age of 15, working in prestigious establishments in Lisbon. He played a significant role in the opening of the first Westin in Portugal, serving as a Demi-chef in the pre-opening team. After a few years of learning and personal development, he accepted the challenge of becoming the Sous Chef at the Michelin-starred restaurant Eleven in Lisbon. In the UAE, he took on the role of Executive Chef at La Cantine, and he currently holds the position of Group Head Chef at Meraas Holding.


Throughout his culinary journey, the desire to continue learning has been a constant driving force. This commitment to knowledge led him to the Culinary Institute of America in the USA and to the Alain Ducasse school in Paris.


Today, at Meraas, he is responsible for overseeing the growth of Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) concepts, Casual and Premium restaurants. His diverse responsibilities include menu development, standards implementation, chef recruitment, procurement, contract management, and maintaining relationships with stakeholders. Drawing on his extensive experience, he skillfully manages large culinary teams, exercises control over food costs, and supervises back-of-house team operations.
