Hanumankind, born Sooraj Cherukat in Kerala, is redefining Indian hip-hop on the global stage. Raised across multiple countries before settling in Houston, he absorbed the raw energy of Southern rap legends like Three 6 Mafia, UGK, and DJ Screw. After earning a business degree and working at Goldman Sachs, he pivoted to music, releasing his breakout EP Kalari in 2019. His intricate lyricism and genre-blending sound quickly gained traction. In 2024, his single Big Dawgs catapulted him to international fame, debuting at #57 on the Billboard Hot 100 and amassing over 400 million streams.
