WHAT -

This Online workshop is Part 1 of a 2 parts module dedicated to intermediate performers (Aspiring and Practicing).

The design incorporates-

  1. Finer Aspects of scene work like listening, pauses, vulnerability, breathwork, etc.
  2. Nourishing the ability to exhibit a variety of characters, wants, emotions, etc.
  3. Frameworks to navigate longer scenes with depth and direction.

Suitable for -

  1. People who have done a basic level improv workshop or have at least participated in 5 improv jams (offline or online).
  2. People who have been performing/teaching/enjoying Improv for a while after finishing their basic course. You may explore a different perspective, revisit old exercises, learn new ones, and polish your skills.
  3. People who want to learn and nourish basic frameworks for long-form improv scenes and narrative formats.

WHY -

Working on the above-mentioned elements in the design would help us to -

  1. Be more interested in the scene and care less about being interesting.
  2. Make our fellow players look better smoothly while maintaining our boundaries.
  3. Explore, have fun, and share the joy of improv.

HOW -

The 4 group sessions of 2 hours each will give you considerable time to explore and realize how the finer aspects affect you as a performer. We will evolve the exercises gradually and benchmark each individual’s progress at different steps. We will have a 1-hour online student showcase at the end once we achieve our desired learning outcomes.

WHAT'S NEXT -

Part-2 will evolve into exercises and techniques that enable a deeper process of self-realization, skill-building, and well-coordinated teamwork for creating thoroughly engaging scenes.
