INGA takes her name from the Tamil word that loosely means ‘to be here’. Currently based in Bengaluru, she finds her way to being ‘present’ in the world with her genre-fluid music.

Anchored in a melodic voice, her songs are set against groovy sounds and thumping beats, sometimes a blend of folk, pop & jazz  and other times inspiring a laid back vibe. Never one to shy away from experimenting, her ease with unconventional song structures and a stunning vocal range make her music raw, vulnerable & free.

Influences from a diverse mix of artists -  Fela Kuti’s fearless live-performances, Devendra Banhart’s eccentric vocals and Jim Morrison’s visual writing - have trickled down to birth the eclectic sound that is authentically INGA. 

Having completed a scholarship to study music at True School, she’s lived a dream that many never do – handpicked by Oscar winner (2009, Slumdog Millionaire, Best Original Score) A. R. Rahman as the winner of an India based talent show ( NEXA Music Season 2, 2023). 

Rave reviews for her debut single, ‘Days Go By’ (2022), were quickly followed by almost a million views for her single ‘Say My Name’ (2023, Nexa Music)  and nearly 4 million views for her single ‘Bad Intentions’ (2023, Nexa Music). 

 Her live performances take her audience on an electrifying  journey, sowing in them the seed of freedom. In 2023 alone, she has performed at some of the popular venues and properties across Bangalore such as Fandom,  ZLB, Boteco, Sofar, Sly Granny and also at Veranda and Bonobo in Mumbai, where she has been invited again.
