About the Event

ITEEHA as the name signifies is connected with art from the roots of our country. It is an organization that creates awareness of our traditional art forms across India, and brings them into main stream metropolis. Iteeha focuses towards educating, encouraging, and bringing to people the rich Indian folk art by having the artisans from the villages conduct live art workshops.


Paintings created with the help of free-flowing pen, Srikalahasti Kalamkari is a distinctive art in India. This art is a twelve step process done on cotton or silk fabric using natural dyes. From the first representation of Kalamkari art as religious painting, depicting India gods and goddesses to the process of gaining recognition till today, this art has come a long way.


Involve yourself in this art with the workshop. Things that will be provided to you- a pair of gloves, sketch sheets, pencils, erasers, fabrics, charcoal sticks, kalam, natural dyes, process booklets. All you will need to carry is a cotton bed-sheet without any embroidery or uneven surface, a rag. And remember to wear comfortable clothing.
