Kaaya explores the concept of feminism, self-realization, liberation, social justice, personal transformation and female spirituality using Akka’s vachanas as an inspiration. We hope to create art that would highlight the importance of women's rights and freedom, and to inspire women to take pride in themselves and their own power. Kaaya aspires to acknowledge Akka’s contribution to feminist literature and celebrate her legacy that continues to inspire and empower women today.
