About the Event

Ghewar is a popular Indian sweet, loved across various parts of India but one that is particularly famous in Jaipur.  Our Chief Mithaiwala learnt the intricate craft of making ghewar from the local Halwais of Jaipur during his research trip. What makes this mithai so unique is the technique and skill that goes behind making it with minimal ingredients and also its exclusivity as it is available only for a few months of the year during the festive time of Teej & Raksha Bandhan.

At the Bombay Sweet Shop, we are constantly thinking of ways to transform classic Indian mithai but only after practicing the basics first! After lots of trials, we crowned the rich honeycomb of ghewar with delicate rasmalai that we believe is a perfect match. This is how our popular Ghewar Tart dessert came into being. Not only does it look like a work of art, but it also has various elements of surprise that make it a fun and delicious dessert to wow your loved ones with!

On the 21st of February, we will be teaching you how to make this Ghewar Tart.

We are breaking down the techniques from scratch and teaching you everything you need to know how to make a perfect ghewar.
