Hindi film music composers Salim and Sulaiman Merchant will bring to Mumbai for the first time a show they’ve recently toured around the world, with an ensemble featuring vocalists and Indian Idol alumni Vipul Mehta and Bhoomi Trivedi and Rajasthani musicians, singers Sattar Khan and Habib Khan and percussionist Feroz Khan. In this career-spinning concert, presented by The Quarter at the Royal Opera House, Salim-Sulaiman will present their biggest Bollywood hits interspersed with qawwali classics and popular Rajasthani folk tunes. Expect a set filled with highlights such as their rousing rendition ‘Allah Hoo’ and a medley of the popular tracks ‘Yeh Honsla’ and ‘Kesariya Balam’.
