Mummy’s Dead, Long Live Mummy! opened in Paris at the Mairie du XVI (with the support of the Indian Embassy in France and L’Oréal) in March 2023 to great success followed by back to back sold out shows across Paris. The audience at each show was moved to stay back and share their own parenting stories and the goal of being more than a play and starting a conversation was achieved. 

The show is travelling to India with the support of the Institut Français in India and the personal blessing of the French Ambassador and it will be performing at Alliance Française auditorium on 28 and 29 September in New Delhi. 

Mummy’s Dead, Long Live Mummy! is a raw, unfiltered take on motherhood - deeply funny, scary, heart-breaking and relentless in equal measure (much like parenting). It destroys the myth and glorification of what it means to bring up a child. Parents, especially mothers, who’re having a hard time feel represented. The play is presented by an all women team - a genuinely diverse group of international professional thespians living in Paris. We believe that the universal language of the play will appeal to a large audience and resonate with institutions that believe in the power of women and diversity and have a stake in promoting contemporary Indian culture.
